Delivery - Posting your order
We prefer to use Australia Post for our delivery service as the service range is greatest, there are no places they don't deliver to and the cost is best for you, my customer. *PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS CHANGING FROM DECEMBER 2014. The majority of parcels will be sent via Fastway courier
To obtain a suggested amount of post for your order, pop the items in your cart and then click on the 'estimate postage' link. You may need to enter your country but this will or should give you a rough idea of the costs.
We use pre-paid satchels for most of our orders as it is the fairest postage solution for the business. Postage is something we don't make a profit on, in some parcel instances there is a difference that needs to be paid (for bulky or oversized items) and that largely comes out of the business pocket. Occasionally, where the difference is greater than a few dollars you may be asked to pay the difference before your parcel is posted.
If there is a situation where the system over charges you for postage I will always refund you the difference with cash in your parcel.
If you feel the postage costs quoted are more than you think it would cost please contact me and I can get a firm quote from the post office for you. Orders that don't fit in a pre-paid satchel will need to have a suitable posting satchel or box purchased, please bear this in mind when you are considering the cost to post a parcel. Parcels heavier than 1kg that are posted in a carton are based on the cubic weight of the box - length x width x depth x 250. Cubic weight is usually more than triple the physical weight of a parcel.
Giftwrapping can be included with a parcel being sent to a friend or a relative and usually at no extra charge.
We post every day where possible, there are some afternoons where 'during school hours' commitments and post school activities may interrupt the regular flow of business posting but we do our best to post your order as soon as possible. The general feedback we get is one of amazement of order delivery speed so we can't be too bad!
If there is a product which is out of stock or delayed we will be in touch to let you know of an ETA and to check the urgency of the order. As a rule, if it can be purchased on the website the product is in stock. There are instances where supply and demand can exhaust stock quickly and we do what we can to keep on top of and avoid out of stock sitiuations.
We can post order to any location around the globe! We would be delighted to post something to a friends baby or a relative on your behalf. International postage charges are based on the Australia Post Website. International orders attract an additonal fee of $3, this covers additional packaging and the forms that need to be filled in as well as the time it takes to queue to put the order over the counter and show ID, we all know the queues in the post office can be horrendous at times!
If your country is not displayed in the list of coutnries please send me an email to let me know before placing your order and I will add it and the postage costs. You could alternatively choose the country that is closest to you. I am not sure what algorythms are used to display the countries on the system! It has been the cause of many a frustrated evening for both past customers and myself! If you are in Singapore but it doens't display as a country select Hong Kong for example, Ireland, select The UK etc...
PLEASE NOTE - ORDERS TO AMERICA ... an order over 500gms being sent to America has an additional $9 tax added to it. This is an Australia Government charge.
"Meet @ The Mall"
What's this option? Meet @ the Mall is me being kind hearted and saving you a freight charge, or trying to, especially if we live in the same area. The "Mall" isn't a specific place, shopping centre or Mall, it's a friendly way of choosing a location that works for us. If you aren't in Hobart Tasmania, this option isn't going to work for you.
Please note - this is NOT a home or business delivery service and you MUST contact me BEFORE selecting the option for your order to discuss the options. It is not possible for me to make a special trip to a particular shopping centre to meet up with you.
Please be aware meeting up may not always be immediately possible. If your goods are needed by a particular date I would encourage you to please select a postage or freight option.
